Potty Training

With a new puppy is the easiest way to toilet training to teach through the use of a crate. Of course you need the puppy out during the day, but not while in a crate a puppy go to the toilet if you keep your end of the transaction and take it outside, on a regular basis (once in the middle of the night is not a puppy good).

Get used to ask your dog if they want to go outside to go “too? This will help them associate the question with the action. As they get older, if you ask the question, you can observe their behavior and see if it is needed.

If you are outside, you can even tell a command to teach and to do their business goals. In fact, I use “do your business” for # 1 and “hurry up” 2 to # Even if you begin your term of choice when they start to go, very soon they will “go” on command. This is very useful when the weather is unpleasant and the dog really does not want outside. It is equally important if the dog would not stand and walk than take care of business.

Sit Down, Stay

“Home” is the easiest of the three commands, and should be first taught. Even a puppy can learn it. “Down” is a submissive position and can be difficult for some dogs. Never punish a dog after they have confidence in the “down” or it can cause problems, too. “Stay” is an advanced command and should be taught to your puppy is six months old. Before that, their attention span is too short.

Come

I prefer the “here” command. In my opinion the most important command is made to teach your dog for their safety. Fortunately, it is very simple. Each time you use your dog outside (ideally in a closed area, or even better) on a long line to have some goodies in the bag. My favorite is sliced, dried bits of hot dog in a Ziplock bag. Enter the command and pull gently with the puppy in the lead. Enter the address and get a lot of praise when they with you.

Very soon your puppy comes running as soon as possible, when you say ‘here. ” Finally, you can slowly replace treated with praise, but always give you praise your dog when it quickly. Oops punish: Never set your dog after calling them with this command. You should always amazed when they returned to you, and the punishment can harm this attitude.

Leash

It’s nice to be able to train your dog to walk beside you with a leash, but I recommend waiting heavy leash training until the dog is six months old. Dogs tend to drag on and go wherever they want to go. It is your job to teach your puppy that the leash is going interactive, which between the two of you. You should be on your side, with respect to you and where you go.

Eventually, you’ll even be able to walk you dog without a leash and they have to stay at your side, as if they were on a leash. If you have problems with this training, a basic obedience class can be a great help.

Out

Some dog owners confuse their puppies with the same command if they want their dogs to lie down or get into the furniture stop jumping on people. I prefer the “off” command for the latter.

With wild dogs, the leader of the always chooses the best, easiest and most defensible position. At home, this is the sofa and bed. When dogs jump on furniture, it is an act of dominance. They are subtle and challenging your authority. Let’s “win” often enough in these small challenges, and they will not listen to you, as they should.

If your dog jumps on the furniture so that they “off” command and push them away from the furniture. You can and should also have the same command when they are trying to (directly to the people to another) act dominant. This command is very quickly learned, because it natural for the leader (you), her out of her favorite places.

There are many other things to teach you and your dog. They are eager to find out whether you will put forth a little effort. These findings are also a good way to strengthen your dog that you are the one person responsible. In order to represent us at that position somewhat, but it is a natural thing for dogs – they need a leader, or they will become one. The work on training your dog a few simple things, and they are a great companion and friend.
